Gadchiroli district tops the state in 75 th Independence Day activities implementation.

Gadchiroli Sept. 1 (District Correspondent) The district of Gadchiroli has stood first in the state in both the district level and taluka level in the implementation of activities organized during the 75 th anniversary of Indian Independence.

The state of Maharashtra has also stood first in the country in this task, it has been informed by the Zilla Parishad administration.

Between the period of March 12, 2021 and Aug. 15, 2022, various activities were organized in the entire country to mark the 75 th anniversary of Indian Independence. It was also planned to upload the information of these activities on the website specially made for this.

Responding to the venture, the state of Maharashtra organized the highest number of 404282 activities on village panchayat, taluka and district and state levels and also uploaded the information of all these activities on the website which brought it the first position in the country. The district of Gadchiroli had organized as many as 745 activities on district level and 6993 on taluka level and stood first in the state.

The Dy. CEO (Panchayat) and Block Development Officers of the Panchayat Samitis were appointed as the Nodal Officers for this task by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department of the state government for the implementation of the activities.

The CEO of Zilla Parishad Kumar Ashirwad had chalked out a special planning for this venture and had assigned the responsibility of implementation on the concerned officers at various levels.

The activities like special Gram Sabhas, district digital repository, processions, bicycle rallies, Tiranga Yatras, visits to archaeological places, cleanliness drive, essay and drawing contests, tree plantation, cultural prorammes, environment protection pledges, mass national anthem singing etc were organized during the period as a part of 75 th Independence celebrations by the Zilla Parishad.

Mr. Rajendra Bhuyar, Additional CEO, Ravindra Kanse, Dy. CEO (Panchayat) and BDOs of Panchayat Samitis made special efforts for the success of all these programmes under the guidance of CEO Ashirwad.

Reacting over the success Mr. Kumar said that it is really a matter of pride and appreciation for the remote and tribal dominated district like Gadchiroli to implement the programmes. Despite the district being naxal affected all the people of the district including teachers and gram sevak unions contributed a lot in the task of hoisting national flag at every house because of which the venture could become successful, he added. The hoped the same cooperation from these unions in the future too.
