Gadchiroli Jan. 1 (District Correspondent) Jaipur Foot Camp was held at Search Hospital in Chatgaon in Dhanora taluka recently in which free assistive devices were distributed to 341 disabled persons.
In order to enable the disabled in Gadchiroli district, which is known as extremely remote and inaccessible, this initiative was organized under the guidance of Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Anand Bang and in collaboration with Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti.
This will bring about positive changes in the lives of 341 beneficiaries. In this camp, various devices such as artificial legs and arms, calipers, walking sticks, crutches, wheelchairs and hearing aids were measured, manufactured, fitted and distributed to the concerned beneficiaries.
Narayan Vyas, HR Head of Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, was present during the four days of the camp and guided the disabled and distributed the items to the needy with his own hands. The physical needs of the beneficiaries who participated in the camp were closely examined and they were given devices according to their requirements.
Also, detailed guidance was given on how to use these devices properly. Good accommodation and food facilities were provided to the campers. The camp was successful due to the cooperation of the district administration, NGOs and citizens.
The disabled beneficiaries who participated in the camp expressed their satisfaction and said that this help was very useful in their lives and self-reliance. Search Hospital has expressed its desire to organize such activities in the future as well. All the experts, volunteers and colleagues were thanked for the success of this camp.
