Gadchiroli July 8 (District Correspondent) The initiative of ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’ (Government at your Doorstep) has reached the governance schemes of common people to their doorstep and this campaign is getting spontaneous response in all the districts of the state. Under this campaign, Gadchiroli district has broken all the records so far and out of the 11-lakh population of the district, about 6. 97 lakh beneficiaries have been benefited by the district administration under various schemes of the government, said the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde here today.

In the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, district level ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’ campaign was held in Gadchiroli today. The program was attended by Minister Dharmaraobaba Atram, MP Ashok Nete, Padmashri Parashuram Khune, MLA Dr. Devrao Holi, Krishna Gajbe, DIG Sandeep Patil, Collector Sanjay Meena, CEO Kumar Ashirwad, SP Nilotpal.

At the outset, District Collector Sanjay Meena welcomed the guests by presenting them bouquets and also gave the detailed information of the initiative taken up in the district.

On this occasion Chief minister Shinde said that the first program has been organized in Gadchiroli after the completion of one year of government. The concept of ‘Sasan Aplya Dari’ is for common people, the government started this initiative so that people don’t have to roam around in government offices. The benefit of various schemes worth Rs 601 crore has been given by the district administration. The chief minister also said that government and administration are the two wheels of the chariot, as the officials are now going from village to village, people are getting the impression that this is a government of common people. Youth are getting employment through Chief Minister’s employment program, skill development training, employment fair, he added.

Planning to set up Steel City in Gadchiroli- Dy. CM Fadnavis declared that there is a plan to build a steel city in Gadchiroli on the lines of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. The government has started this initiative with the concept that the government should reach the people. The target was to select at least 75 thousand beneficiaries in each district but Gadchiroli has broken all records and benefited nearly 7 lakh people, he said

I promoted the mineral project here and followed the policy of invest, give employment and profit here when I was Chief Minister. An investment of 30 thousand crores has been approved for Gadchiroli and all necessary permissions have been given. He said that the Government Medical College has been approved, the seat of the Agricultural School has been made available. Also, 146 hectares of land has been proposed for a big airport in Gadchiroli. It will also help big industries to come here. None of the tribals in the district will be deprived of a house, he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed his belief that the development of Gadchiroli district will increase due to the proposed airport and Samriddhi Highway in the district. If the youth of the district get maximum employment, there will be no trouble from other elements. He also said that Naxalism will also end from people’s minds.

Minister Dharmarao Atram also expressed his thoughts on this occasion.  After the program, the local youth performed Rela, a traditional dance in which the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers and the Minister participated with the youth.

Mr.  Parashuram Khune, the Padma Shri awardee was honored by dignitaries on the occasion. Mahesh Thawre, national champion in 10m shooting, Angel Devkule, (Sikai martial arts0 were also felicitated. Also, the benefits of individual schemes were distributed to the beneficiaries of various schemes in a representative manner. A large number of people from across the district attended the programme.
