Gadchiroli Oct. 3 (District Correspondent) Grand preparations are being made for the ‘Zadipatti Natya Sammelan’ that has been organized on the grounds of Adarsh Mahavidyalaya, Wadsa Desaiganj on Oct. 4 and 5 next. This sammelan is going to be the great forum of the get together of the stage artists from Gadchiroli, Bhandara, Gondiya and Chandrapur districts which is popularly known as Zadipatti.

The Sammelan will be inaugurated at the hands of Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, Co Guardian minister of the district. Mr. Vijay Wadettiwar, Congress leader will preside while Mr. K. Atmaram, well known Zadipatti artist is the chairman of Chairman of the sammelan and Mr. Ramdas Masram, Armori MLA is the chairman of reception committee.

Mr. Sudhir Mungantiwar, former minister, Dr. Namdeo Kirsan, MP, Nanabhau Patole, senior congress leader, Mr. Dharmarao Baba Atram, former minister, Dr. Milind Narote, Gadchiroli MLA, Rajkumar Badole, Kishor Jorgewar, Sanjay Puram, Vinod Agrawal, Devrao Bhongle, Narendra Bhondekar, MLAs, Dr. Namdeo Usendi, Krishna Gajbhe, former MLAs, Padmashree Dr. Parshuram Khune, Mr. Avishynt Panda, district collector, Mr. Nilotpal, SP, Suhas Gade, CEO Zilla Parishad, Dr. Prashant Bokare, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Anil Hirekhan, Registrar of Gondwana University will be the chief guests.

This was informed by Dr. Aniruddha Wankar, President of Zadipatti Natya Vikas Mandal in a press conference here this morning.

Various cultural activities have been organized in this two-day meet which includes tribal dances, drama songs, etc. Two dramas Bayko Wairi Kunkawachi and ‘Bajar Vikleli Naar will be staged on the first day.

The programmes like drama songs, drama music, symposium of men and women artists, lawnis etc have also been organized. On the concluding night two more dramas Lakhat Ek-Ladachi Lek (Shekhar Patle) and Lekara (Yuwraj Pradhan) will be staged, informed Mr. Wankar who himself is a renowned staged artist and singer.

The important issues faced by the stage artists will be discussed in the sammelan and resolutions will be passed, told Wankar.  More than 2,000 artists and their assistants perform in the stage shows which makes the business of around 70 to 80 crores of rupees every year. More than 50,000 people get employment in this activity, he added. Dr. Wankar appealed the drama lovers and the citizens to attend this sammelan in large numbers.

Also present at the press conference were Prof. K. Atmaram, Shekhar Dongre, Sanjeev Ramteke, Jitendra Upadhyay, Raj Marathe, Dadaji Chudhri and others.
