Gadchiroli Sept. 9 (District Correspondent) The youths from village Pathargota in Armori taluka got rid of their addiction and banned illegal liquor sales from their village. Many of them are now busy with education and employment and this was possible due to the efforts of Muktipath and the village organization.

Pathargota is a village 13 km away from Armori taluka headquarters. When illegal liquor sales were going on, the people and youth of the village got addicted to alcohol. The youths who were drowning in alcohol neglected their education as well as work. This led to quarrels in the houses and the development of the village was halted. When they realized that they were harming themselves and their families by drinking alcohol, the youths decided to give up addiction on their own. Along with this, they called the Muktipath team to the village to prevent illegal liquor sales in their village.

Muktipath Taluka Organizer Vinod Kohpare visited the village and Muktipath Village Organization was established. Various programs were organized in the village and the youth initiated the illegal sale of liquor. For the last three years, the villagers have been active in maintaining the ban on the illegal sale of liquor. Since the sale of liquor has been banned in the village, there is peace, happiness in the village.

Notably, Muktipath and the village organization have provided employment by sending many youths for solar training. Some youths are preparing for competitive exams. Now there is an atmosphere of happiness in the village and Muktipath has appealed to other villages to take inspiration and make their villages alcohol-free.

For this, the village organization president Amardeep Bankar, Baban Darve, Purushottam Mend, Ganpat Darve, Shubham Darve, Harihar Matere, Vilas Meshram, Vilas Atram, Vinod Meshram, Dayaneshwar Raut, Ramdas Kharkate, Rishi Raut, Lavaji Thakre, Diwakar Pradhan, Vivek Dhonge, Devrao Karankar, Manisha Pradhan and other members worked hard for this.

Muktipath District Joint Director Santosh Sawalkar held a meeting and discussed various issues. He praised the village organization and wished them well for the future.
