Gadchiroli Sept. 8 (District Correspondent) The much-awaited Wadsa-Chand Fort railway was finally flagged off at the hands of Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha MP Namdeo Namdev today. After the inaugural function, Dr. Kirsan travelled from Wadsa to Nagbhid by the said train and also discussed with the citizens in the train.

Many trains on the Ballarasha – Gondia railway line were stopped due to the Corona epidemic. Even though Corona passed, many trains were not started, so the passengers were suffering a lot. The closed trains included Wadsa – Chanda Fort, Chanda Fort – Gondia which were not resumed despite repeated demands from the citizens.

In this regard, the newly elected MP of Gadchiroli Chimur Lok Sabha Constituency Dr. Namdeo Kirsan had demanded the restoration of Wadsa – Chanda Fort, Chanda Fort- Gondia railway in the very first session of the Parliament. Finally, Dr. Kirsan’s efforts have been successful and these trains were resumed.

At the outset, the staff members of the railway were welcomed by Mr. kirsan by presenting them garlands.

Armori MLA Krishna Gajbe, District Congress President Mahendra Brahmanwade, Rajendra Bulle, Parasramji Tickle, Ramdas Masram, Milind Khobragade, Kisan Cell President Wamanrao Savsakde, Nitin Raut, Transport Cell President Rupesh Tickle, RPF Officer Jaisingh, Loco Pilot R. K. Gupta, Assistant Loco Pilot Rajat Khadenath, Guard Venkatarao, Madhuri Madavi, Nilofar Sheikh, Jaimala Pendam, Rajni Atram along with officials and a large number of passengers were present on the occasion.
