Voice of Media stages dharna to raise journalist’s issues.

Gadchiroli Aug. 31 (District Correspondent) A one-day sit-in was staged by ‘Voice of Media’ Gadchiroli unit in front of the Collectorate here for pressing up various pending issues of the journalists.

A delegation of the organization then called on the District Collector Sanjay Meena and submitted him a memorandum addressed to the chief Minister of Maharashtra after the dharna agitation.

Accreditation cards should be given to those who have been doing journalism for ten years, thse who have completed graduation and completed journalism training should be given certificate as journalists by the State Directorate General of Information, a separate corporation should be established for journalists, a government order should be issued for post-retirement gratuity of Rs. 20000. a full-time District Information Officer should be appointed at Gadchiroli were the main demands that were included in the memorandum.

District President Venkatesh Dudamwar, Vidarbha Division Working President, Sumit Pakalwar, , State Executive Member Mukund Joshi, Rekhatai Vanjari, District President Nasir Hashmi, Working President, Sanjay Tipale, Prakash Dubey,  Krishna Waghade,  Kantibhai Suchak, Prakash Taksande, Sangita Vijaykar, Jagdish Kannake, Naresh Bavane, Muralidhar Borkar, Anup Meshram, Sandeep Kambli, Mukesh Gedam, Narendra Maheshwari, Nitin Thackeray, Pundalik Bhandekar and many other journalists participated in the dharna agitation.
