Gadchiroli Sept. 21 (District Correspondent) Two hardcore naxalites namely, Anil alias Ramsay Jagdeo Kujur (26), R/o Timma Javeli, Tah. Etapalli and Roshani alias Irape Narango Pallo (30), R/o Dandimarka, PS Orechha, Dist. Narayanpur (Chhattisgarh) has surrendered before the Superintendent of Police today.
The SP Ankit Goyal himself informed this in a press conference at the police headquarters here this afternoon. Also present at the press conference were Mr. Sameer Sheikh and Somay Mundhe, Additional SPs.
In the month of December 2009, Anil Kujur was recruited as a member with Kasansur LOS. Also, during the year of 2012 to 2022, was working as militia.
He was involved in the Khobramendha Ambush in which 1 CRPF personnel was martyred and 5 injured. He was also involved in Nihaykal and Gyarapatti road ambush in which 5 CRPF personnel were injured. He was involved in the encounter in the forest area of Chota Zeliya.
Due to the welfare schemes launched by the government, the naxals do not get people’s support. Senior Maoists use the poor tribal youths only for their own benefit. Married dalam members cannot live an independent married life. Due to the aggressive anti-Naxal operations of the Gadchiroli Police, the living in the forest become dangerous that is why Anil left the dalam, told the SP.
Roshani Pallo was recruited in the year of 2009 as a member with Jatpur LOS. She also worked in Zone technical dalam. She operated as ACM & Dy. Commander and also was working as militia.
She was involved in the encounter in the forest area of Mauja Kundala (CG). In the year 2015, she was involved in the encounter in the forest area of Gundurpara (CG). In 2017, she was involved in the encounter in two different places in the forest area and Gotul of Durwada (CG). In the year of 2015, she murdered 3 innocent people who belonged from Irapnar tah. Bhamragad in Gadchiroli district.
Naxalite are not paid for any work. Women Naxalite not getting a chance to go to a senior position. Women being used only for carrying heavy burden and also not get chance to participate in important operations. Senior Maoists force to women Naxalite to marry. During the encounter, male Naxalites are able to run away, but women are killed, are some of the reasons for her surrender, told the SP.
The Government has announced a reward of rupees 04 lakhs on Anil’s head and a reward of rupees 02 lakhs on Roshani’s head.
Due to the intensified anti-naxal operations conducted by Gadchiroli police and also an opportunity provided by the government to surrender, since 2019 till date, a total number of 51 hardcore Naxalites have surrendered before the Gadchiroli police, it was told.
Frustrated and fed up of life of violence, naxalites are getting attracted towards the Surrender Policy being implemented by the state government told Mr. Goyal. All necessary assistance will be provided to those who are willing to surrender and join the mainstream of the society. He appealed the active naxalites to renounce the path of the violence and adopt the path of peace.
