Gadchiroli Feb. 17 (District Correspondent) A new executive committee of the district body of the Buddhist society of India (BSI) also known as Bouddha Mahasabha was formed recently in a meeting of the workers held at Samyak Buddha Vihara here the other day.

Maharashtra in-charge of BSI Vijay Kamble, Organizer of Nagpur Division Padmakar Ganveer, Maharashtra Organizer Ashok Ghotekar, Buldhana District General Secretary Hivarale, social worker Rohidas Raut, Chandrapur District President Rajpal Khobragade, Secretary Lomesh Khobragade, Former President C.P. Shende, District Women’s President Surekha Barsagade were prominently present as the chief guests for this meeting. The program was presided over by District President Tularam Raut.

The new executive committee is- President – Mr. Tularam Raut, General Secretary- Prof. Gautam Dange, Treasurer- Lahu Ramteke, Vice President- (Cultural) Moreshwar Ambade, Vice President (Propaganda and  Tourism) Dharmaji Bambole, Vice President (Protection) Abhimanyu Bansod, Accounts Auditor- Sukhdev Wasnik, Office Secretary- Ramesh Dongre, Secretary-(Cultural) Lahu Kumar Ramteke, Siddharth Govardhan, Secretary- (Propaganda Tourism)- Balkrishna Bambole, Siddharth Khobragade, Secretary -(Protection Department)- Phulchand Meshram, Purushottam Bhaisare.

As manyn as 21 other office bearers including Mr. Gautam Meshram, Atmaram Bhanarkar, Devanand Phulzele, Vijay Deotale, Bandubhau Khobragade, Haridas Tembhurne, Indrajit Bhanarkar were included in the executive committee.

Mr. Vijay Kamble announced the new executive committee after inviting applications and holding discussions with the workers. The guests guided the workers and called upon them to carry on the Dhamma work and reach it to every person to make the mankind happy.

District President Tularam Raut presented a review of the work done by the Mahasabha till date. The meeting was moderated by Prof. Gautam Dange. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Lahu Ramteke. Also present in the meeting were Ms. Aruna Raut, Sheetal Bhaisare, M.N. Vankar, Sumitra Raut, office bearers of the district, taluka, village, city branches as well as Buddhist followers from across the district.
