Gadchiroli Oct. 7 (District Correspondent) A programme of ‘Samrat Ravana Balidan Diwas’ and Rani Durgawati Jayanti was organized at Veer Baburao Shedmake memorial of village Mahawada in Dhanora taluka by the Gondiyan Samuday on Dussehra Day.
The portraits of Raja Ravana and Rani durgawati were garlanded and Ravana puja was performed at the hands of Mr. Sadhuji Narote, Bhumiya (priest) of the village. A Gondi Dharma flag was hoisted by Mr. Dewaji Patil Wadde to mark the occasion.
Prominently present on the occasion were Mr. Sitaram Tadose, Vilas Wadde, Vijay Gedam, Puneshwar Wadde, Baburao Pada, Ms. Panchasheela Tadose, Maltabai Gedam, Nirmala Wadde and others.
A programme of community dinner was also organized on the occasion in which tribal community members and all the villagers participated.
