Mr. Ashok Nete seen after inauguration of Salla Gangra Dharma symbol.

Gadchiroli Dec. 2 (District Correspondent) The tribals have protected water, land and forest over the years and the tribal warriors have a great contribution in the freedom struggle is great, said Mr. Ashok Nete former MP while speaking at ‘Janjati Gaurav Din’ organized at village Kadholi in Kurkheda taluka by Adiwasi Samaj Sewa Samiti the other day.

District General Secretary of BJP Prakash Gedam, social worker Ms. Madhuri Madavi, Pintubhau Akare, Sarpanch Chandrakant Chowke, Journalist Seva Sahare, Shalik Janabandhu, Ajay Madavi, Lakshan Tekam were prominently present.

Speaking further Mr. Nete said, the government of India has declared November 15 as Tribal Pride Day. This decision is very proud for the tribal community. Also, a tribal woman, Draupadi Murmu has acquired the highest position of the President of the country which is a great honour for the tribal community, he added. Congress ruled the country for 75 years, but did not give any responsibility to the tribal community to get respect and was used for politics, he alleged.

The unity should be created in the tribal community. The community members should come together and make efforts to protect their rights and entitlements. Organizing such festivals is inspiring for the community and it gives a new direction for the progress of the community, Nete stated.

‘Salla Gangra’, a Gondi Dharma symbol was also inaugurated on the occasion at the hands of Mr. Ashok Nete.

The program was attended by and a large number of tribal community members from the Tribal Society Service Committee Kadholi. Various presentations highlighting the life and work of Birsa Munda were made at this festival. The programs were successfully organized and conducted peacefully.

The other guests also expressed their views on the occasion and shed light on the life and work of Birsa Munda. Various cultural programmes were also organized on the occasion. A large number of tribals and other villagers attended the programme.
