



Gadchiroli Oct. 24 (District Correspondent) A five-day residential training program for farmers on environment friendly and natural farming was organized by Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi (AAA) at village Yrandi recently. A total of 52 farmers from Brahmapuri, Kurkheda and Korchi talukas participated in this camp.
The training was conducted by Mr. Mauli Kapse, a pesticide-free farming expert from Sambhajinagar and Mr. Krishna Jhalwar ideal farmer from Amravati.
During the training, demonstrations were given on the preparation of organic farming like Amritpani, Jeevamrut, Decomposer, Go Kripa Amrut, Bhimtanik etc.
Mr. Mauli Kapse gave detailed guidance on food science, microbiology, cultivation and seed management. He said that soil is not just sand or dust, it is a living element — home to millions of microorganisms.
Mr. Krishna Jhalwar, while explaining the need of the hour for organic farming, said that farmers should move away from chemical farming and focus on cattle and bullock farming. The produce obtained from organic farming is not only healthy but also sustainable.
A guidance on other issues including knowledge of bacteria that live without air and with air, biological processes based on the use of curd-rice, cow dung-urine, natural remedies for disease control and pest control, practical training on seed processing and organic fertilizers, importance of animal husbandry to maintain soil fertility etc.
The concluding program was presided over by Dr. Satish Gogulwar Convenor of AAA. Organic farming is not only a productive system, but it is a lifestyle that maintains a three-pronged balance of health, environment and economy, he said. He urged the farmers to apply the knowledge gained from the training to their farming and to involve other farmers in this movement.
Project Director Mr. Ganesh Hulge, while mentioning the impact of climate change and soil health, said, ecological farming is the need of the hour, this method reduces production costs and maintains soil fertility for a long time.
Through this training, the farmers not only got theoretical knowledge of natural farming but also hands-on experience and practical skills.
