Gadchiroli Aug. 31 (District Correspondent) Raje Ambrishrao Atram, former minister of state and the scion of Aheri Estate has announced in a grand worker’s rally held at Aheri recently that he will fight for the upcoming assembly election whether he gets the party ticket or not. All the workers gathered in the rally also expressed their full support to Mr. Atram thereby bringing an end to the confusion among the people about the candidates in this important constituency.

Presently this constituency is being represented by Mr. Dharmarao Baba Atram, who is a cabinet minister and has sided with Ajit Pawar faction of NCP after split in the party.

Addressing the rally, Ambrishrao Atram said that from the last few years, a picture has emerged that the company is ruling this area and not the government. Many people were killed and many seriously injured due to the company’s vehicles. When an accident occurs, instead of taking care of the dead or injured, the company’s comfort is taken care of, he alleged.

Mr. Atram criticized that instead of giving jobs to locals, only political leaders are working there. The roads, agriculture, rivers and drains are being heavily damaged and the health of the citizens is in danger and there is chaos everywhere. He said that it is time to change the chaos in the area and think for development as well as for the future.

On one side, the company is looting the area, on the other, there are thieves who are grabbing the lands of the poor and the tribals. Now the people should give priority to honesty, Ambrishrao appealed.

When is the real last election of a leader who has been telling all these years that it’s his last election, he asked amidst the laughter and indirectly criticised minister Dharmarao Baba in his speech.

Seeing the spontaneous presence and response of a large number of workers at every meeting, it is proved that the people are inclined towards a massive change in the upcoming elections, Raje claimed.

The program was moderated by Councillor Amol Gudelliwar and vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Mukesh Namewar. A large number of workers and citizens attended the rally.
