Gadchiroli July 26 (District Correspondent) Tribal Development Department Additional Commissioner Ravindra Thakre paid a surprise visit to as many as 8 government ashram schools in the remote areas of Gadchiroli project recently despite heavy and continuous rain and flood situation in the district. Due to his visit, the ashram school administration has received a warning of vigilance. A senior official like the Additional Commissioner has rarely visited the ashram schools in the district under such adverse geographical conditions.

After visiting the district for five days and returning to Nagpur, the district became aware of a dutiful officer.

Mr. Thakre visited the Ashram school to verify the activities going on in the schools to ensure that no tribal women who are eligible to benefit from the ambitious ‘Ladki Bahin’ scheme of the state government should be deprived. The officer was in Gadchiroli, Aheri, Bhamragarh projects for five days with the aim of guiding the self-help groups, officials and employees.

Mr. Thakre visited the government ashram schools at Sode, Murumgaon, Savargaon, Gyarapatti, Kotgul, Korchi, Maseli. He also tasted the food prepared for the students at Kotgul Ashram School, guided the principal and teachers. interacted with students. Some students were asked questions and read the newspapers by him. He gave instructions for the successful implementation of the initiative for improving the quality of students.

Assistant Project Officer Anil Somankar, Dr. Prabhu Sadamwar, Junior Education Extension Officer Mukesh Gedam, Santosh Kannake, Personal Assistant Mohan Gayner were present during the tour.
