Teachers take out massive Akrosh Morcha on collectorate.

Gadchiroli Sept. 26 (District Correspondent) Teachers belonging to various teachers’ organizations took out a massive ‘Akrosh Morcha’ on the collectorate here on Wednesday to press the demands of withdrawal of GR on contract teachers and other issues.

The morcha started from Indira Gandhi square of the city and proceeded to the collectorate winding through main city road and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector. The teachers shouted slogans and sang songs in support of their demands during the morcha and attracted the attention of the ongoers.

The main demands included aadhar card-based teachers posts policy be scrapped, decision on academic -non academic works be revised, school uniforms be supplied immediately and the old policy on uniform distribution be continued, text books be suppled soon, compulsion of head quarter stay of teachers be withdrawn, all the graduate teachers be given equal pay scale, Zilla Parishad teachers be applied old pension scheme, promoted teachers be be given one increment etc.

Nagpur Division Teachers MLA Sudhakar Adbale visited the morcha and addressed the teachers and demanded early fulfilment of all the demands raised by the teachers. He demanded that the GR of March 15 regarding teacher’s ratio and GR of Sept. 5 on contract teachers be withdrawn soon. These issues will be raised in the coming session of the state legislature, he declared.

Mr. Dhanpal misar of Shikshak Samiti, Raghunath bhandekar of Shikshak Sangh, Rajkumar, Ghodeswar of CASTRIBE, Pundalik Deshmukh of Shikshak Bharti, D. M. Dahikar of Adarsh Shikshak Sangathana, Vijay Salwe of Shikshak Parishad, Mangesh Gaddewar of Subject Teachers Association, Rajesh Wadpalliwar of Kendra Pramukh Sangathana, Gurudeo Nawghade of Old Pension Association led the morcha.

Mr. Ramesh Ramteke, Yogesh dhore, Bapu Munghate, Ashish dhatrak, Dewendra Lanjewar, and other teachers’ representatives took pains for the success of the morcha.

A large number of teachers from throughout the district participated in the morcha.
