
Gadchiroli June 28 (District Correspondent) District Collector Avishyant Panda has assured that while preparing all the government schemes and development plans students will be kept in centre stage to make their future brighter. Priority will be given to the activities that prepare students for examination-related guidance, foreign education, and higher education.
He was speaking at the Social Justice Day organized by the Social Welfare Department to mark the birth anniversary of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj here the other day. Zilla Parishad CEO Suhas Gade, Assistant Commissioner of Social Justice Department Dr. Sachin Madavi, Dr. Ashish Khobragade, Dr. Dilip Barsagade, Social Welfare Officer Chetan Hivanj, Kuldeep Meshram were prominently present.
A modern air-conditioned library cum study room with a capacity of 200 students that has been set up at the district headquarters for the study of students, was inaugurated by Mr. Panda. He said that emphasis will be given on creating such facilities at the taluka level as well.
At this time, the innovative initiative ‘Aapla Dostalu’, was also launched under which citizens of rural and remote areas can get information about government schemes from home through the WhatsApp number 9423116168. It was appealed to the citizens to take benefit of this facility.
Mr. Suhas Gade said that all efforts are being made for the progress of students. He mentioned that equal opportunities are being provided to everyone through the government, and a library has been set up in Gadchiroli which is better than the libraries in cities like Pune and Mumbai. He informed that efforts are being made to provide all facilities to students, from ISRO visits to quality education.
The Ghar Ghar Samvidhan Abhiyan, International Anti-Drug Day and Nashamukt Bharat Abhiyan were also launched in the program. Meritorious students were also felicitated on this occasion. Dr. Sachin Madavi made an introductory speech and gave the details of all these schemes.
A large number of officers, employees, students and beneficiaries of the Social Justice Department were present at the program.
