Secondary school employees staging dharna

Gadchiroli March 8 (District Correspondent) A sit-in protest was held in front of the District Collector office here on Friday by the private secondary school non-teaching employees’ association for pressing up their pending issues. A memorandum was then sub to the government to the District Collector and the Secondary Education Officer, Gadchiroli.

The main demands included the new revised Assured Progress Scheme for non-teaching employees in secondary schools should be given immediate benefit as recommended by the Bakshi Committee,, eligible non-teaching employees should be given unconditional promotion to the post of teacher with protection of pay scale, vacant posts of non-teaching employees in secondary schools should be filled as soon as possible, and the second benefit of 24 years given to non-teaching employees in secondary schools should be implemented from the date on which it was implemented for state government employees.

District Secondary and Higher Secondary School Non-Teachers Association President Ashok Kachinwar, General Secretary Uday Dhakate, Working President Sandeep Bharne, Nandlal Lade, Bhupesh Wairagade, Abhijit Shivankar, Vilas Chalakh and hundreds of others participated in the agitation.
