Gadchiroli, June 8 (District Correspondent) The family of brave police officer Mahesh Nagulwar from Gadchiroli Police Force was handed over an insurance cheque of Rs. 1.10 crore by the State Bank of India. The cheque was presented to his wife, Ms. Pallavi Nagulwar, by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis here the other day.

Mahesh Nagulwar was martyred on February 12, 2025, during an anti-Naxal operation in Gadchiroli district. As his salary account was with the SBI, the insurance amount was disbursed under the bank’s salary account holder protection scheme.

Joint Guardian Minister Ashish Jaiswal, MP Dr. Namdev Kirsan, MLAs Dharmarao Baba Atram, Dr. Milind Narote, Ramdas Masram, District Collector Avishyant Panda, SP Nilotpal were prominently present.

The event was graced by SBI Gadchiroli Branch Chief Manager Ms. Reena Chichghare, who assured continued support from the bank to the martyr’s family.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “The sacrifice of such brave soldiers is priceless. The government and society will always stand firmly behind their families.

District officials, police officers, senior SBI personnel, and local citizens were present in large numbers at the event.
