Gadchiroli Nov. 4 (District Correspondent) A youth cultural festival was organized by Samidha College of Civil Services in the college auditorium here recently.
The festival was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Dilip Barsagade, social worker. Mr. Rohidas Raut, senior journalist presided while Mr. Vineet Bhajikhaye, Manager of Indian Bank, Tularam Raut, retired Education Extension Officer, Kalidas Raut, President of the College were the chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Barsagade said youths should acquire newer skills and modern knowledge to face the global challenges and achieve success in life. Today’s era has become quite competitive and it is necessary to get ready for such cut throat competition for the survival. The students ready to work hard have ample opportunities in the global scenario, he pointed out.
Mr. Raut in his presidential address called upon the students to be punctual in their studies and grab the higher posts in administration and other sectors. The college education is a good platform to prepare oneself for the challenges and the students can do it with their talent, he hoped extending best wishes to them for their further career.
Mr. Bhajikhaye expressed satisfaction that the civil services education is being provided in Gadchiroli and hoped it would help the students from this backward district to get success in administrative examinations.
Mr. Kalidas Raut in his speech gave the details of the college activities and said the institute is committed for the overall development of the students. The best possible facilities are being provided to the students and they should avail it, he appealed.
The students of the college presented various beautiful cultural programmes like dance, songs, quiz contest etc during the programme. The birth anniversary of late Ms. Samidha Raut, in whose memory this college has been started, was also observed on the occasion.
Prof. Tilesh Mohurle, Prof. Nitin Naitam, Madhukar Rohankar, Sushant Raut were also present on the occasion. The programme was conducted by Ms. Chayna Bhoyar and Ms. Akshani Marbhate proposed the vote of thanks. Mithun Urade, Gauarv Meshram and other staff members of the college took pains for the success of the programme.
