
Gadchiroli Jan. 22 (District Correspondent) The prize distribution ceremony of the various competitions organized by Rotary Club Gadchiroli was held with great pomp here the other day under the Rotary Festival.
Dr. Milind Narote, MLA of Gadchiroli was the chief guest. The program was presided over by Mr. Sunil Battuwar, President of Rotary Club while Rotary Club Chartered President Diwakar Barsagade, Nandkishor Kabra, Adv. Kavita Moharkar, Prin. Pratibha Ramteke, Vishram Hokam, Hemant Rathi, Amit Suchak, Sanjay Gupta, Sachin Tangadpalliwar, Neeraj Jain, Ankush Gondralwar, Madhur Hemke, Rajesh Itankar were prominently present.
Dr. Narote praised the social work of Rotary Club in his speech and expressed the opinion that such activities give scope to local talent. He congratulated the Rotary members for organizing such a programme in Gadchiroli.
The importance of Rotary Club’s social service activities was highlighted during the program. Under the leadership of President Sunil Battuwar, the Club has organized various competitions and activities to provide a platform to local talents.
The organizers and others who performed well during the festival were also honoured by Dr. Narote at the programme.
The names of the winners, first and second respectively are – Flower arrangement competition – Neeta Gedam, Jyoti Battuwar, Grain Rangoli- competition Sujata Shende, Shweta Pogre, Painting competition- Rashmi Urade Arya Lonare, Solo dance – Geetika Kharwade, Sonam Matte, Twin dance – Smita Tatawar, Shilpa Hemke, Dish decoration- Ishika Mashru, Disha Talande, Vandana Wigam, General knowledge – Sanskriti Atram, Carmel Pagade, Group dance- Indira Gandhi Vidyalaya Yenapur, Shivaji High School Gadchiroli, Open talent competition- Vina Hemke, Ram Wasekar, Home Minister competition- Manjusha Kodape, Ishika Mushroom.
The program was conducted by Dr. Rakesh Chadgulwar and Vaishnavi Dakhne, while the vote of thanks was expressed by Satish Trinagariwar. Ms. Vaishali Battuwar, Saraswati Partani, Pinki Rathi, Vijaya Chavan, Vaishali Thakre and all the Inner Wheel Club members worked hard for the successful organization of the program.
