
Gadchiroli Sept. 20 — Several important issues relating to the people were discussed in the meeting of the district executive committee of All India Republican Party that was held at Chandekar Bhavan here on Friday.
The meeting was presided over by district president Hansraj Undirwade. Central vice president Rohidas Raut, senior leaders Kulpati Meshram, Dr. Haridas Nandeshwar, Regional vice president Prof. Prakash Dudhe, regional secretaries Prof. Rajan Borkar, Keshavrao Samrutwar, Assembly in charge Pradeep Bhaisare, district general secretary Pralhad Raipure, youth president Narendra Raipure, city women president Wanmala Zade were prominently present.
The people’s issues discussed in the meeting included pathetic condition of the highways and roads in the district, havoc of wild elephants and tigers, non-payment of the salaries of contract teachers, forcible purchase of valuable farm lands by the corporate companies, forcible installation of smart electric metres, crop damage due to heavy rains, lack of health facilities and communication in remote areas, payment of paddy bonus to farmers, insufficient doctors and other staff in the district hospital and women’s hospital etc were discussed in the meeting. It was decided to launch an agitation to raise these problems with the government.
The people of the district have been facing severe hardships due to these problems and there is a strong discontent among them towards the negligence of the government and administration in solving the problems, said the workers and demanded that the government should pay immediate attention towards these problems and solve them.
Some new workers joined the party during this meeting. They were Jagdish Dholne, Dudhe, Ramesh Shende, Manik Raut. They were welcomed in the party by offering them flowers and party membership.
Also present in the meeting were Mr. Punjaram Jambhulkar, Sukhdev Wasnik, Bhanudas Bambode, Arun Bhaisare, Dadaji Dhakde, Hemaji Sahare, Chandrabhan Raut, Namdev Meshram, Tulshidas Nandeshwar, Ms. Jyoti Chaudhari, Nanda Raut, Gendabai Godbole and many other workers attended the meeting. Prof. Rajan Borkar conducted the meeting and Pralhad Raipure proposed the vote of thanks.
