
Gadchiroli June 13 (District correspondent) Former district guardian minister and well-known leader Raje Ambrishrao Atram has once again come forward generously and donated a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs to the members of the Buddhist community of Aheri to raise a new Buddha Vihar in the town.
The Buddhist community members of the Rajnagari Aheri were in need of financial assistance to construct a new magnificent Buddhist Vihara in the town. When the matter came to the knowledge of Raje Ambrishrao, he readily met them and discussed the issue in detail. After this meeting the Raje donated a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs to the buddhist community to construct a new buddha vihara.
During this meeting, Mr. Atram also listened to the problems of the community members and assured them to stand behind them to get these problems resolved.
Interacting with the members, Raje said that in today’s fast-paced life, it is necessary that the people should get information and inspiration about the works and thoughts of Gautama Buddha and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Buddha Vihar will become a centre point of inculcating good values in today’s young generation and making it to live their future as an ideal person in the society
Speaking further, Mr. Atram said that good public utility activities should be taken up by the Buddhist society through Buddha Vihara and the thoughts of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Gautam Buddh should be rooted among the citizens so that they can achieve progress, make the future bright and thereby shine the name of our country, state and district legendary.
On this occasion, President of Buddha Samaj Gyan Prasarak Youth Mandal Aheri Eknath Chandekar, Joint Secretary Prashant Bhimte, Sanjay Ondre, Ramesh Alone, Maroti Ondre, Tirupati Chalurkar, Rohit Ondre, Parashuram Dahagaonkar, Kamalabai Ondre, Shobhatai Bhimte, Kamaltai Alone, Praphuta Dholage, Latatai Ondre, Saritatai Alone, Rasikatai Dahagaonkar, Mayatai Durge, Madhuritai Maulikar, Bhartitai Ondre, Divyatai Alone, Shakun Alone Umatai Challurkar, Gangasagar Kambade, Nirmala Durge, Suganabai Durge and other members of the Buddhist community as well as villagers were present on the occasion.
