Gadchiroli Sept. 5 (District Correspondent) Many prominent citizens from Desaiganj joined the Samajwadi Party recently expressing their faith in the ideology and programmes of the party recently. The joining was declared in the district executive meeting held at the Party Head Office at Wadsa.
Those who joined the Samajwadi Party included Mir Umaid Ali Syed, a well-known social worker and journalist, Mr. Javed Qureshi, a social worker and Shaukat Panjwani, prominent businessman from Desaiganj.
Maharashtra General Secretary Parvez Siddiqui and District President Ilyas Khan were prominently present on the occasion. The new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by presenting them party dupattas and bouquets. The joining of the workers will help in strengthening the party in the district, hoped both Mr. Siddiqui and Khan while speaking on the occasion.
Mr. Mir Ali Sayyad was later on appointed as the General Secretaty of the district unit by Mr. Iliyas Khan.
Mr. Khalil Khan and Mahebub Khan were felicitated with a shawl during the program. Faizan Patel, Rajesh Patarange, Jafar Sheikh, Mujeeb Sheikh, Taluka President Khemraj Neware, City President Naresh Wasnik, Mahila Mahasabha President Lata Meshram, Meena Chaudhary, Sharif Sheikh, Shoaib Khan- and Samajwadi Party workers were present on the occasion.
