Gadchiroli Sept. 24 (District Correspondent) Mr. Prakash Arjunwar, founder Mahatma Gandhi Vichar Manch was felicitated by the Gandhians at Champaran in Bihar recently for his contribution in the propagation of Gandhian thoughts throughout the country.

Mahatma Gandhi International Thought Forum Bihar State Unit Coordinator Dr. Abhiyanta Zafar Hassan, National Coordinator Biresh Singh of Patna and Motihari district convenor Ajay Kumar Azad were prominently present.

On this occasion, various programs including Gandhi Shanti Padayatra, seminars and discussions were organized with the workers in Motihari Champaran city. Mr. Arjunwar got the information of Gandhijis Champaran visit.

During the Peace Walk, Mr. Arjunwar said that the hardworking and toiling farmers and farm labourers of Champaran have made Mahatma Gandhi the best great man in the world by supporting his first Satyagraha and gave a new direction to the freedom movement.

I want to kiss the soil of Champaran again and again. Gandhiji’s satyagraha, peace, non-violence and campaign of planting neem and peepal saplings need to be carried out in the whole of country besides Yuva Ahimsa -Yuva Bharat campaign in full force, he stated.

A resolution congratulating the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar for implementing liquor ban in Bihar was passed in the programme. Also, it was unanimously decided to hold an international peace conference at Champaran in the near future and to get everyone united and carry out Gandhiji’s Satyagraha, Peace, Non-Violence Campaign in Champaran and the country.
