Gadchiroli Jan. 29 (District Correspondent) Padma Shree award winner well known stage artist Dr. Parshuram Khune was accorded felicitation by many organizations of the district on his award.
Mr. Khune was presented shawl and bouquet by the congress leaders in DCC office and he was felicitated. Former MP Marotrao kowase, Secretary of MPCC Dr. Namdeo Kirsan, District Congress President Mahendra Bramhanwade, Mahila Congress State Secretary Dr. Chanda Kodavate, Councillor Satish Vidhate, Employment Cell President Damdev Mandalwar, Kisan Cell President Wamanrao Savasakde, OBC Cell President Pandurang Ghotekar, senior leaders Vasant Raut, Shankarao Salotkar, Prabhakarrao Wasekar, Sunil Chadgulwar were prominently present on the occasion.
Receiving the Padma Shri award is a matter of honour for the district and Dr. Khune has brought this pride for the entire district, said Mr. Bramhanwade while honouring Dr. Khune.
MLA HOLI –Gadchiroli MLA Dr. Deorao Holi presented bouquet and shawl to Mr. Khune and felicitated him. The entire district is proud of Dr. Khune for this prestigious award that has brought the name of the district on the national level, said Dr. Holi and extended him best wishes for his health and long life.
PRESS CLUB- The members of Press Club Gadchiroli also felicitated Dr. Khune on his achievement. Senior journalists Suresh Padmashali, Rohidas Raut, Press Club President Nandkishor Kathwate, Arvind Khobragade, Avinash Bhandekar, Suresh Nagrale, Vilas Dashmukhe met Dr. Khune and congratulated him.
Many other organizations and individuals also felicitated Dr. Khune on this coveted award. Many of his well wishers rushed to his native place Gurnoli in Kurkheda taluka to wish him.
Dr. Khune accepted the felicitation with a smiling face and thanked them. The award belongs to the drama lovers of the district and the Zadipatti region, he remarked.
