Gadchiroli Aug. 31 (District Correspondent) Maharashtra State nurses and Health Employees Association has demanded that the posts of Health Workers reserved for the economically weaker sections (EWS) which have been kept vacant be filled in from the open selection list.
Addressing a press conference at the press club here on Saturday, Mr. Ashok Jaisingpure, state president of the association said that the recruitment for the posts of Health Workers (Women) was done by the Zilla Parishad Gadchiroli in August 2023. However, the posts reserved for economically weaker sections category were kept vacant because no any candidates of this category were available during the recruitment.
Actually, as per the government resolution of the general administration department dated 31 st May 2021, if the candidates belonging to EWs are not available, the candidates from the general selection list should be selected as per the merit list, Jaisingpure pointed out.
The Zilla Parishad administration however has not selected the candidates from the general selection list as yet hence the candidates eligible for the post are deprived of their selection.
The Zilla Parishad administration should therefore make the selection of the candidates from the general selection list and fill in the posts of the Health workers (women), Jaisingpure demanded.
