Gadchiroli Jan. 25 (District Correspondent) The National Service Scheme’s ‘Shram Sanskar Shibir’ is an opportunity for students to serve the society. The students should work in the camp with the resolve to instil the culture of work in them while cultivating social commitment as selfless service is the true service, said Mr. Atul Ganyarapwar while speaking at the inauguration of the NSS camp of Sharadchandra Pawar Arts College, Chamorshi at village Wakdi the other day.

The camp was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Hemraj Nikhade, Head of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Adhyasan Kendra of Gondwana University. Dr. Pawan Naik, Ms. Bhagyashree Mangar, Sarpanch of Vakdi, Antakala Madavi, Dy. Dr. Nikhade expressed the view that preserving the rural culture that is disappearing in the storm of globalization is the need of the hour and this responsibility belongs to all of us. Dr. Naik said that the students should move from mobile culture to the Warkari tradition.

The Shram Sanskar Shibir started under the guidance of the NSS Program Officer Prof. Nomeshwar Zade. The programme was conducted by Prof. Nitesh Savsagade, Principal Shilpa Kashattiwar gave the introduction, while Prof. Krunal Amborkar proposed the vote of thanks.

A large number of students, parents and villagers attended the programme.
