Gadchiroli Sept. 12 (District Correspondent) Former MP Ashok Nete has demanded early repair of Gadchiroli-Armori road and give relief to the people.
Mr. Nete met the district Collector Sanjay Daine and submitted him a memorandum in this regard.
The condition of Gadchiroli Armori road has become very pathetic and due to potholes at many places, it has become very difficult for passengers to drive on it. The road is in such a bad condition that it is very difficult to understand whether there are potholes on the road or a road in the pothole, he pointed out.
Being on the Gadchiroli-Nagpur highway, this road is the busiest and is widely used by people. Gadchiroli is the district headquarters place and many times patients are referred from Gadchiroli to Nagpur. Thousands of people including students, farmers etc. have to travel on this road for daily work. For this, an order to repair this road should be given to the concerned department immediately, Nete demanded.
Also, Chamorshi -Haranghat-Mul road should be converted into national highway and linked to Gadchiroli -Rajnandgaon Highway, and Sakoli Gadchiroli – Sironcha Highway, he demanded further.
Similarly, the Haranghat-Chamorshi road has also developed several potholes making travelling of the people very difficult. This road also should be repaired soon, Nete demanded.
It has been a long time since the tender of Chamorshi- Haranghat-Mul road, but the concerned contractors have been doing the work at a very slow pace. Appropriate action should be taken to penalize the concerned contractor, he demanded.
