NCP women workers staging demonstrations.

 

Gadchiroli Aug. 9 (District Correspondent) The women’s wing workers of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) staged demonstrations at Indira Gandhi Chowk of the city to protest against the violence against women in the state.

The incidents of violence against women are increasing day by day and the state government has failed to control it. The recent incident of the brutal murder of Yashshree Shinde at Uran is quite dangerous and speaks about the degrading situation of law and order in the state, it was alleged by the demonstrators. This matter is very shameful for Maharashtra and the state government is turning a blind eye to such incidents, it was further alleged.

The protest was held under the leadership of Women District President of NCP Ms. Sangeeta Raut in which City President Preeti Kowe, Nivrutta Raut, Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Porla, Sushma Yewle, District General Secretary Woman, Vimal Bhoyar, District Vice President, Meenal Chimurkar, Sandhya Uike former councillors, Neeta Bobate, District Secretary, Sunita Selokar, Vice President City, Aarti Kolhe, Jayanbi Sheikh, Rekha Koram, Pramila Ramteke, Baby Labhane and other women officials participated.
