Gadchiroli Aug. 16 (District Correspondent) The Independence Day was celebrated at Zilla Parishad here with a great enthusiasm. The national flag was hoisted by the CEO of Zilla Parishad Suhas Gade.
Additional CEO Rajendra Bhuyar, Project Director of DRDA Dadasaheb Wankhede, Dy. CEO (Admn.) Aniket Patil were prominently present. The students of Zilla Parishad high School presented the national songs on the occasion.
An anti-tobacco oath was administered to the officials of the Zilla Parishad during the programme that was attended by large number of officers and employees.
At the SP office also flag hoisting was done at the hands of SP Nilotpal to mark the Indian Independence Day. The police officials who bagged the Presidents Gallantry
Medals were honoured on the occasion by presenting them certificates at the hands of Mr. Nilotpal.
Later on, Mr. Nilotpal visited the Navjeevan colony of the surrendered Naxalites and celebrated the Independence Day with the family members of the former naxals by hoisting the national flag and distributing sweets.
