Musical concert sweetens Diwali of Gadchirolians.

Gadchiroli Nov. 1 (District Correspondent) The festival of Diwali was celebrated by Ajab Gajab Vichar Manch with the feast of melodious songs continuing its tradition of last 11 years. The musical programme was organized on the grounds of Vidya Bharti girls high School here.

The city of Gadchiroli witnessed the sight of sweet tunes and the sky was adorned with the stars of saptasuras. The Gadchirolians also gave a great response to this concert.

This year too, the music fans were treated to two Swara Maifals, one in the evening of Diwali and another in the morning. In the evening concert under this year’s Sangeet Mahotsav – 2024, Hindi songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s were presented. Marathi duet songs and Bhavgeet were also performed. The concert started with the Ganesha song. Baje Muralia, Jaaneman Jaaneman, Tere Do Nayan, Piya Re Piya Re, Thare Bina Lage Nahi Mhara Jiya Re, Mai Ramta Jogi, Gulabi Ankhe Jo Teri Dehi, Sharabi Ye Dil Ho Gaya, Ai Meri Johra Jabi Tu Abhi Tak Hai Haasi, Deewana Hua Badal etc were presented.

The singers and instrumentalists created a dreamy atmosphere of tunes at the concert and took the audience to the world of music. Sagar Mhatre, the first winner of the famous Indian Idol programme, Ankita Takle, Geeta Puranik of Saregama fame, Pranay Pawar performed the music freely in this concert.

Principal Dr. Rajabhau Munghate, Principal Dr. Vandana Munghate, Saurabh Munghate, Shamsher Khan Pathan, Prin. Leena Hakim, Dr. Milind Narote, CEO of DCC Bank Satish Ayalwar, Arvind Katratwar, Santosh Tangadpalliwar, Raju Bomanwar were prominently present for this concert.

Mr. Satish Trinagariwar, Subhash Dhandre, Milind Umre, Suraj Khobragade, Praveen Khadse, Dattu Sutrapawar, Dr. Prashant Chalakh, Tanmay Trinagariwar Prateek Barshinge, Taufiq Syed and staff of Vidyabharati High School and Junior College took pains for the success of the programme.

The singers invited even the little ones in the audience to dance on the stage while performing Mai Nikla Gaddi Leke, the much-loved song from the Sunny Deol starrer Gadar movie. Then, with the accompaniment of the singers, the children dance on the music which brought a different colour to the concert.
