Gadchiroli Jan. 22 (District Correspondent) After the inauguration of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the first investment agreement in the state was signed for Gadchiroli under the leadership of Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district Devendra Fadnavis. This agreement was signed with Kalyani Group for the defence, steel, EV sectors and the investment in this is Rs. 5200 crores from which 4000 jobs will be created.

Along with this, a memorandum of understanding worth Rs 3 lakh crore has been signed with JSW, a company operating in the fields of steel, renewable energy, infrastructure, cement, lithium-iron batteries, solar wafers and cell modules, etc. in Gadchiroli and Nagpur areas. This is expected to provide 10,000 jobs. This is the highest amount of investment agreement signed on the first day.

The Chief Minister had recently said in Gadchiroli that Gadchiroli is not the last but the first district in the state. In his presence, a historic investment agreement worth Rs 6,25,457 crore was signed for Maharashtra on the first day. This is a new record for signing such a huge amount of agreements on a single day. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his feeling that this agreement will give a big boost to the development of Maharashtra.

The MoUs signed on the first day include companies like Kalyani Group, Reliance Infrastructure, Balasore Alloy Ltd., Viraj Profiles Pvt. Ltd., AB Inbev, JSW, Wari Energy, Tembo, Elmont, Blackstone and Panchsheel Realty, Avani Power Batteries, Gensol, Bisleri International, H2 Power, ZR2, Blue Energy Motors, Issar, Book My Show, Welspun etc.

These agreements are in the sectors of logistics, automobiles, steel, electronics, IT, infrastructure, entertainment, green energy, green hydrogen etc.
