Gadchiroli July 3 (District Correspondent) ‘Prerna Melawa’ of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) was organized at Govindrao Munghate Arts and Science College, Kurkheda the other day.
The meet was inaugurated by Ms. Anitatai Borkar, President of Nagar Panchayat Kurkheda. Mr. Rohidas Raut, Senior Journalist, presided while Mr. Vilas Nimborkar, State General Secretary of MANS, P M Jadhav State Co-ordinator, Mahendra Wagh, Incharge of Police Station Kurkheda, Chaitram Dongarwar, Suresh Dahikar Kishore Khope, Vice Principal of Munghate College, Choparam Kamble, Vitthalrao Kothare, Shivram Mogarkar were prominently present.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Borkar lauded the selfless work of Anis and said there is a need of removing blind faith for the healthy and progressive society. Mr. Nimborkar said that Maharashtra Anis is the only organization that carries forward the legacy of Shahu- Phule-Ambedkar besides creating awareness on superstition eradication. He called upon the workers to reach the people and continue this work.
The other guests also spoke on the occasion and said Anis is doing a social and national duty of creating a society with scientific approach without any financial support of the government which is certainly appreciable. They congratulated all the workers for receiving maximum awards at the state level.
Mr. Vilas Nimborkar was felicitated by the guests by presenting him a shawl, bouquet and book for his getting selected to the post of General Secretary of the state executive committee of MANS. Also, the activists who received awards at the state level -Motiram Nahamurte from Uradi, Chaitram Dongarwar from Purada and Ravindra Somankar from Ghot, were felicitated with a certificate of appreciation, a memento book and a rose flower.
Mr. Shivram Mogarkar presented a brief report of the state convention and the work of MANS through the introductory guidance. The first session was conducted by Mr. Shyam Sonule while the vote of thanks was given by Purushottam Thakre.
The concluding session was presided over Ramchandra Mungmode, Kurkheda working president. Medical Officer Dr. Jagdish Borkar, women front’s Sudhatai Chaudhari were present as the guests.
The session was moderated by Mr. Vitthalrao Kothare and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Chaitram Dongarwar. For the success of the program, Dr. Dashrath Ade, Tarachand Mungmode, Yuvraj Khune, Keval Khune, Dakram Kotangale, Rajendra Borkar, Alkatai Bobate and others took pains.
