Gadchiroli Sept. 9 (District Correspondent) The members of Lloyds Sports Academy (LSA), which is part of Lloyds Infinite Foundation, have once again brought glory to Gadchiroli district with their outstanding performances at the recently concluded State-level sporting events. LSA volleyball team won the championship trophy in State-level tournament held at Gondia, and promising athlete Ms. Monika Madavi clinched the Silver Medal in Women’s Under-20 High Jump event in the State-level Athletics Championship at Pune.

In the State Level Athletics Championship held at Pune recently, Ms. Monika Madavi, a trainee of Lloyds Sports Academy, clinched the Silver Medal in the Women’s Under-20 High Jump event with a leap of 1.40 meters. The prestigious championship witnessed participation 2,100 athletes across Maharashtra.

With this achievement, Ms. Monika Madavi has qualified for the West Zone Athletics Championship to be held in Madhya Pradesh from September 18 to September 20. Her qualification marks an important milestone for Gadchiroli’s young sportspersons to showcase their sporting talent at the national level.

LSA also secured a remarkable win in the State-level Volleyball Tournament held at Gondia. The Academy’s volleyball team registered a 2-0 victory in the finals, emerging as champions among 16 participating teams. This achievement underscores the Academy’s growing reputation in promoting excellence across multiple sporting disciplines.

A spokesperson for Lloyds Sports Academy said, these victories reflect our commitment to nurturing sports talent in rural and tribal-dominated regions like Gadchiroli. Our aim is to provide world-class training and opportunities for youngsters to excel in sports at state, national, and international levels.
