Gadchiroli Aug. 10 (District Correspondent) The team of Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) brought laurels in the marathon organised by All India Tribal Development Council, New Delhi, in association with former MLA Deorao Holi, on the occasion of World Tribal Day on Saturday in Gadchiroli city.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the city, with a 5-km run for men, 3-km run for women, and a special category for senior citizens. The LMEL Sports Department actively participated in the marathon, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship and dedication. The chief guest of the programme, Lt. Col. Vikram Mehta, Resident Director, LMEL, Gadchiroli, secured 3rd place in the Senior Citizens’ category.
LMEL employees, LMEL Sports Department, and students from Lloyds Sports Academy delivered commendable performances. Senior Officer Manmohan Singh from RRT Team, finished second in the Senior Citizens’ category. Rohan Sanjay Bhurse secured 4th place, Roshan Bodalkar secured 6th, Yash Bhandekar finished 7th, and Shruti Ade finished 4th in the Girls’ category.
The participation and achievements of LMEL members and students reaffirmed LMEL’s commitment to promoting sports and healthy lifestyle in Gadchiroli.
