Gadchiroli Aug. 22 (District Correspondent) Ms. Kusumtai Alam, senior Congress leader and State vice President of Congress Party’s Destitute Persons Development Department was felicitated by the Maharashtra Congress committee in a programme held at Mumbai recently for her contribution in the success of recently held Lok Sabha elections.
Ms. Alam was offered a shawl, memento and bouquetat the hands of MPCC President Nanabhau Patole in recognition of her party work. The results of the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra were in favour of the Congress -Mahavikas Aghadi.
The grassroots workers of the Congress party have worked a lot for the success of Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra. Party workers and social activists made a valuable contribution, said Mr. Nanabhau Patole, while admiring the work of the workers.
Kusumtai Alam has worked loyally for the party ignoring her family. She also worked hard for Gadchiroli, Nandurbar and Dindori Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. It was demanded that the Congress Party should allot her ticket for the coming Assembly elections, considering her tireless efforts.
Congress Party Vice President Ms. Pratibhatai Shinde, Chief of all cells Pragyatai Waghmare, Congress spokesperson Atulji Mendhe, former MLA Dr. Mijahat Ali Mirza, Dr. Meenakshi Savalkar, Kalpanatai Unwane, Majit Memon, Savita Pandit and other officials from all corners of Maharashtra were present.
