Kusum Alam honoured by Mumbai Trust.

Gadchiroli Jan. 28 (District Correspondent) Noted tribal activist and poetess Kusum Alam was honoured by Navkshiteej Charitable Trust, Mumbai in a programme held at Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati Kaladhar Nandadeep Vidyalaya, Goregaon, Mumbai recently for her contribution in social and literary work recently.

The Trust felicitates the workers who have done remarkable work in the fields of social, literary, administrative service, sports and journalism every year. Ms. Alam was selected from among the 116 persons proposals from the state.

Ms. Alam was presented shawl, memento, certificate of honour and bouquet at the hands of former Inspector General of Police Mohan Rathod. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Arun B. Chaudhari, former Justice, Punjab Haryana Chandigarh, MLA Anant Bala Nar, Abhijit Rane, General Secretary, Dhadak Kamgar Union, Imran Rahi, Comedy Poet, Adv. Jagdish Japle, Chairman of the Selection Committee were prominently present.

Mr. Sunil Kumre, Chairman of Navakshitij Charitable Trust, Mumbai has been organizing this programme for the last over 10 years. Many literary persons, social workers and political figures have congratulated Ms. Alam on her honour.
