Gadchiroli Aug. 27 (District Correspondent) Carmel High School and Junior College Pri-Primary section in Gadchiroli celebrated Shrikrishna Janmashtami with great fervour and devotion, paying tribute to Lord Krishna.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Dr. Sonal Kowe, Principal Rev. Fr. Sinoj Sebastian, Vice Principal Sister Nancy Tom SH, Pri-Primary Incharge Priya besides other teachers and parents, who added warmth and grandeur to the celebration.
The program commenced with a delightful dance performance by the young Carmelites, followed by the traditional Dahi Handi breaking ceremony. A highlight of the event was the dance competition for parents, which brought out their enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Principal, Fr. Sinoj Sebastian, presented gifts to all participants, acknowledging their active involvement.
The atmosphere was further enhanced by the vibrant participation of lady parents dressed as Yashoda Maiya and the young students beautifully adorned as Krishna and Radha, recreating the essence of Lord Krishna’s birth. The event was a memorable and joyous for all who attended.
