Jawaharlal Nehru School stands third in state.

Gadchiroli Oct. 13 (District Correspondent) Jawaharlal Nehru School of Municipal Council, Gadchiroli has bagged the third position at the state level from the government group in the second phase of the campaign ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Shala, Sunder Shala’, which promotes the personality development of students.

School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar announced this yesterday. District Collector Sanjay Daine and ZP CEO Ayushi Singh have congratulated Municipal Council Chief Suryakant Pidurkar, school management, principal, teachers and students on this achievement.

On the initiative of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, based on various competitive activities, the unique campaign ‘Chief Minister My School, Beautiful School’ has been started in the state since last year. The first phase of this campaign in the year 2023-24 was very successful. About 95 percent of the students in the schools participated in the campaign. Some of these activities have also been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Taking into account the encouraging experience of the previous year, this year also the second phase of the campaign was implemented from 5th September to 15th September 2024. Schools and students have also given a great response to this initiative. In the second phase of this year, about 1.91 crore students from about 98,000 schools and about 6. 60 lakh teachers participated in the campaign.

A prize of Rs 21 lakh has been announced to the school of Gadchiroli, which secured the third position at the state level.
