Mr. Suresh Padmashali and Ashok Lanjewar submitting a memorandum to the RDC Suryawanshi.

Gadchiroli Aug. 1 (District Correspondent) Jankalyan Pratishthan has demanded that educated unemployed youth should be appointed in Zilla Parishad schools in the state and a decision to fill the vacant posts of teachers from amongst the retired teachers on contractual basis be withdrawn soon.

In a memorandum sent to the Chief Minister, through the district collector, Mr. Suresh Padmashali, chief of the Pratishthan has asked how do retired teachers go about teaching? Can they overcome health and travel issues? Retired teachers will not be abel to teach new students.

In Gadchiroli district there are total 588 posts of teachers and these vacant posts be filled in by appointing educated unemployed youths. The loss of students can be avoided by this. According to the government order, retired teachers will be appointed by the Zilla Parishad on a temporary basis on contractual basis. But re-appointment of retired teachers when there is already an army of unemployed who are qualified for the post of teachers is unfair to the unemployed, he has pointed out.

Retired teachers are already getting Rs. 30,000 to 40,000 pensions, so providing job opportunity to the qualified educated unemployed youth will get them work and remove their resentment, said the memorandum further.

The posts of Zilla Parishad school teachers are vacant in PESA and non-PESA areas, as Gadchiroli district is extremely remote and Naxal-influenced, the government must consider giving priority to the unemployed youth of this area, it has been demanded by Mr. Padmashali and Secretary Ashok Lanjewar.
