
Gadchiroli April 26 (District Correspondent) Tribal Development Minister Dr. Ashok Uike has directed the officials to provide separate 7-12 extracts to community forest leaseholders as per the Forest Rights Act, so that they can take benefit of various government schemes.
Dr. Uike gave these directives in meeting held at the Niyojan bhavan here on Friday. Dr. Uike and District Co-Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Jaiswal jointly reviewed the expenditure for 2024-25 under the Tribal Scheme of the District Planning Committee in Gadchiroli.
District Collector Avishyant Panda, Additional Commissioner of Tribal Department Ayushi Singh, Gadchiroli MLA Dr. Milind Narote, Armori MLA Ramdas Masram, In-charge SP Atish Deshmukh, ITDP Project Officer Ranjit Yadav (Gadchiroli), Kushal Jain (Aheri), Naman Goyal (Bhamragad), District Planning Officer Shriram Pachkhede, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Sachin Madavi were present in the meeting.
Our goal is to provide electricity to every village; hence Chief Minister’s Electricity Connection Scheme should be implemented from Gadchiroli district. He asked for effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, Uike said.
Minister Uike instructed the Health Department to spread information about the clinics with free treatment facilities under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to the citizens. The govt. will provide sufficient funds so that not a single village in this district is deprived of roads.
Mr. Jaiswal asked to approve the Tribal Sub Plan Fund only for schemes that change the lives of the tribal people. As a special matter in Gadchiroli district, the government intends to provide 8,000 borewells with solar power under the Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana, he said.
The govt. has decided to provide free sand to the beneficiaries of the Gharkul, hence the BDOs should give the list of Gharkul beneficiaries to the Tehsildar should issue sand royalty to the beneficiaries at their homes. If the work of the Gharkul stops, officials will be held responsible, he warned. If irregularities are found in Jaljiwan works, FIR will be filed, he warned.
Dr. Milind Narote asked about the implementation of the new sand policy and asked about the construction of good toilets in tribal schools. Mr. Masram demanded construction of sheds for school meals and provide drinking water.
Later on, when Minister Ashok Uike was asked about the paddy scam at the press conference, he said that the Chief Minister has already given clear instructions to the District Collectors and asked them to submit an inquiry report in this regard by April 30, after which appropriate action will be taken.
