Gadchiroli Sept. 23 (District correspondent) Indra Malo, Joint Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development, Government of India visited Anganwadi at Ghot in Chamorshi Taluka recently and sought the information of the special food recipes and functioning of the Anganwadi.
On this occasion, the joint secretary gave away prizes of healthy baby competition winners. Ms. Malo visited the food exhibition and also sought information about the special food recipes in Gadchiroli district. During this visit, she also reviewed and guided the work of nutrition tracker. Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Kumar Ashirwad accompanied her during this visit.
Both Ms. Malo and Mr. Kumar were welcomed by Ms. Ingole District Program Officer of Women and Child Welfare Department. District Women and Child Development Officer Prakash Bhandakkar, Avinash Gurnule, Jayant Jathade were present on the occasion.
After this, she visited the Ahilya Devi Bal sudhar Griha at Ghot and interacted with the girls. She convinced them about the importance of education and guided them to become self-dependent. She inspected the office and discussed with the management and the employees. The officer then took a review of the women and child welfare department schemes at the collector office and related.
