Gadhiroli Aug. 20 (District Correspondent) The workers different political parties belonging to INDIA alliance staged demonstrations at Armori today to protest against the assault of a young woman working in a restaurant at Armori and also o protest against rape on two minor girls at Badlapur.
On Aug. 15 last, a young woman was severely beaten up in a restaurant near Tea Point in Armori. Strict action should be taken against the accused in this case, it was demanded through a memorandum that was submitted through the Tehsildar of Armori. The workers also demanded stringent action against the accused in Badlapur rape case.
A large number of workers assembled in front of the tehsil office and shouted slogans in support of their demands and later on submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar.
Mr. Sandeep Thakur of NCP (SP), Ms. Laxmitai Mane of Shiv Sena (UBT), Amol Marakwar of Marxist Communist Party (CPM), Ms. Venutai Dhavgaye, Rahul Juware of Yuvarang, Liladhar Meshram, Vijay Supare of Congress Party, Nishant Vanmali, Sachin Sapate, Sagar Mane of Shiv Sena, Rajubhau Ambani, Manik Bhoyar, Nikhil Dharmik, Vinod Nimje of Prahar, Ranjit Bankar, Mahendra Shende, Ankush Gadhve, Meghatai Mane, Yojana Meshram, Vibhatai Bobate, Ashutosh Girdkar, Krishna Bhan, Dyaneshwar Dhavgaye, Chetan Juware Vilas Dane and many other workers were present.
