Gadchiroli Aug. 15 (District Correspondent) With the goal of overall progress of the common people, the state government has launched important schemes and all these public welfare schemes will be reached to the last element of society, said District Collector Sanjay Daine on the occasion of 77th Independence Day of India.
He was speaking after the national flag was hoisted in the collector office premises. MP Dr. Namdevrao Kirsan, MLA Dr. Devrao Holi, SP Nilotpal, Assistant Collector Rahul Meena, Additional CEO of Zilla Parishad Rajendra Bhuyar mainly present.
The Collector added that roads, railways, airports, industries and internet-mobile are being provided in the district. A series of ambitious infrastructure projects are underway. Gadchiroli district is emerging as an area of progress and opportunity in the state. These activities will benefit every citizen, he hoped.
We want to erase the old identity of Gadchiroli as a backward district and create a new identity, he said adding that due to the iron project, Gadchiroli district is getting a new identity as ‘Steel Hub’. The government has launched many important schemes with the goal of overall development of the common people. They include Ladki Bahin scheme, Youth Training Scheme, Chief Minister Baliraja Free Power Scheme, Chief Minister’s Annapurna Yojana, Tirtha Darshan Yojana and Vayoshree Yojana for citizens, Daine told.
The officers and employees who have performed excellently in various fields were felicitated by dignitaries on this occasion. Also, Anil Gedam and local citizens who saved the lives of three persons who were swept away in the flood at Churchura were specially honoured.
The program was attended by freedom fighters, senior citizens, farmers, all officials of the district, as well as journalists, students and citizens.
