Gadchiroli June 22 (District Correspondent) Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd (LMEL) joined the world in celebrating the 11th International Yoga Day at Surjagarh iron ore mines and Konsari plant in Gadchiroli district on Saturday. At both the places, more than 500 individuals participated in the sessions.
There was enthusiasm in the air since early morning. LMEL officers, employees, workers, and residents of nearby villages participated in the mass Yoga session at Surjagarh iron ore mines. They performed various Yogasanas under the guidance of trained instructors. At the Konsari plant too, LMEL organised a Yoga session in which officers, employees, workers, villagers, and children participated enthusiastically.
In his message to the participants, Mr. B. Prabhakaran, Managing Director of LMEL, shed light on the importance of International Yoga Day and this year’s theme ‘One Earth, One Health with Yoga’. “Yoga is India’s gift to the world. LMEL is proud to be participating in this global event today. LMEL reiterates its commitment to encouraging activities including Yoga that help in keeping employees and local communities healthy,” he added.
The sessions were followed by distribution of refreshments and caps to all the participants.
