Gadchiroli Oct. 31 (District Correspondent) In the wake of the ongoing State Assembly elections, hundreds of workers have joined Nag Vidarbha Andolan Samiti (NVAS) led by former Guardian Minister Raje Ambrishrao Atram.
Nag Vidarbha andolan Samiti is a party founded by late Raje Vishwesharrao Maharaj, the grand father of Ambrishrao Atram.
As many as 120 youth activists from Sironcha taluka joined the party under the youth leadership of Raje Ambrishrao Atram at his residence Rukmini Mahal in Aheri. The entry was declared under the leadership of Mr. Purushottam Kadarlawar and Akash Bachalkura, giving a big blow to the NCP (AP) led by minister Dharmarao Baba Atram. Mr. Ambrishrao welcomed the new entrants and wished them all the best for the future.
The youths shouted the slogans-“Raje Saheb Aage Badho Hum Tumhare Saath Hai” on this occasion. In the wake of the Assembly elections, NCP is believed to have suffered a major setback in Siron taluka.
Raje Ambrishrao Maharaj had recently filed his nomination on behalf of the Nag Vidarbha Andolan Samiti in a strong display of strength for the Aheri Assembly constituency elections. The thousands of common people had participated in the rally taken out at the time of filing nominations.
