
Gadchiroli Aug. 20 (District Correspondent) Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad Ayushi Singh has said that health and education sectors would be her priority.
Presently I am touring the district and understanding the problems. The problems in hilly and tribal areas are similar and efforts will be made to resolve them, she said while interacting with the media persons in her office here the other day.
The office bearers of the Press Club paid a courtesy visit to the officer and discussed various issues pertaining to the citizens with her. Health and education department are the key areas which need to be focused, pointed out the reporters to which Ms. Singh agreed and told that the necessary steps are being taken to address these areas.
When her attention was attracted towards the issue of many officials not remaining present at their respective head quarters due to which the people have to suffer a lot, the CEO said a monitoring team is being formed to supervise such officials and the stern action would be taken against those found guilty in discharging their duties.
Many primary schools in remote tribal areas remain unattended by the teachers that affects the education of the students. The situation of the health staff also is found to be similar, noted the media persons to which Ms. Singh replied that the necessary steps would be taken to set the things right.
Ms. Singh also appealed the people to convey their grievances directly to her office saying that they would be promptly looked into.
