Gadchiroli Feb. 15 (District Correspondent) The Public Health Department is working with five issues at its core: non-communicable and communicable diseases, maternal and child health, primary health care and hospitals. We will work together in all these five areas to face the challenges, asserted Dr. Nipun Vinayak, Secretary, Public Health Department, here today.
Dr. Nipun along with Joint Secretary of Public Health Department, Dr. Virendra Singh visited Shodhgram on Friday and got information about the work of ‘SEARCH’ (Society for Education Action Research in Community Health).
Dr. Nipun said, “The work done by ‘SEARCH’ in the field of health is inspiring. A program will be planned for the Chief Officers of all Zilla Parishads in the state and their teams from the health department to visit ‘Shodhgram’ and get information about health-related work.”
Dr. Virendra Singh said that it is necessary to reach health facilities to every household. “It is very important that healthcare facilities are available to the citizens on time, for this it is very important that the employees working in the health sector have the qualities of discipline, efficiency and integrity.”
Director of ‘SEARCH’ Dr. Abhay Bang said, “When it comes to health, the biggest moral and constitutional responsibility lies with the government. In the last forty years, the central government, the state government and ‘SEARCH’ have worked together. In the future too, we will work together to find solutions to various health problems and implement them.”
