Gadchiroli Feb. 22 (District Correspondent) On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Acharya Balshastri Jambhekar, the father of Marathi journalism, a special health check-up camp was organized by the District Information office at the District Hospital for journalists and their families the other day. Journalists attended this camp in large numbers and gave a spontaneous response.

Various tests like blood pressure, diabetes, eyes, teeth, ears, nose and throat, haemoglobin, CBC, lipid profile, liver function, HIV were conducted in the camp. ECG and sonography facilities were also provided. Interested journalists also donated blood. On this occasion, journalists were issued Abha cards under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

The camp began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Balshastri Jambhekar. The program was presided over by Additional District Surgeon Dr. Satish Solanke. On this occasion, District Information Officer Gajanan Jadhav said that since journalists work 24 hours a day in today’s digital era, their work pressure has increased, so it is necessary to undergo regular health check-ups. He said that this health check-up camp was organized for journalists on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Balshastri Jambhekar.

On this occasion, senior journalists Rohidas Raut, Avinash Bhandekar, Sanjay Tipale, Venkatesh Dudmwar, Manoj Tajne, Sumit Pakalwar, Ashish Agarwal, Manish Rakshamwar, Milind Umre, Rupraj Vakode, Suresh Nagrale, Mukund Joshi, Rekha Vanjari, Munishwar Borkar, Vivek Mete, Tanmay Deshpande, Anup Meshram, Praveen Channawar, Swati Basena, Sandeep Kamble, Nilesh Satpute, Jagdish Kannake, Rajesh Khobragade were present.

The program was conducted by Mr. Uday Dhakate. Vaman Khandait, who donated blood was honored on this occasion.

Under the guidance of District Surgeon Dr. Madhuri Kilnake, Dr. Manish Meshram, Dr. Jitendra Dolare, Dr. Mrunali Ramteke, Dr. Mukund Dabhale, Dr. Ajay Kamble, Dr. Balu Sahare, Rohan Kumre, Manik Manaspure, Dr. Shan Gonda, Nurses Asha Bawne, Pranali Thengne, Shilpa Meshram, Shilpa Sarkar, Vaishali Bobate, Sheetal Kalbandhe, Laboratory Assistant Roshni Singh as well as Mahadev Basena, Dinesh Warkhede, Vaman Khandait, Gurudas Gedam from the Information Office provided special cooperation for the successful organization of the camp.
