Gadchiroli May 3 (District Correspondent) A grand Buddha Jayanti programme has been organized by the district unit of Buddhist Society of India and various buddha vihara Mandals and social organizations jointly on May 12 next at 6 pm at Indira Gandhi Chouk here.
Venerable Bhante Dhammarakshit Thero and the members of shramner Sangha will be the special guests on the occasion who will perform the Buddha Vandana. Prof. Dr. R. R. Kasbe, Scholar of the Pali Language and senior functionary of the Buddhist Society, Kalyan, Mr. Subhash Bondade, retired Asstt. General Manager of NABARD, Bhopal will the main speakers. Mr. Tularam Raut, district president of Buddhist Society will preside over the programme.
Various activities like Dhamma Desana, Kheer Daan, dances based on Lord Buddha’s life will also be organized during the programme. The Buddhist Society of India and Buddha vihara Mandals and social organizations have appealed the people to attend this programme in large numbers.
